Mission Statement
The Trinity AME Early Legacy for Children Foundation is committed to advancing high-quality early childhood education by raising resources that support scholarships, teacher development, and enriched learning environments for children and families served by Trinity AME Early Learning Center.

Foundation Purpose
The purpose of the Legacy for Children Foundation is to secure and manage financial resources that strengthen and expand the programs of Trinity AME Early Learning Center. Through fundraising, partnerships, and community engagement, the foundation supports educational opportunities, improves learning environments, and helps ensure that families have access to affordable, high-quality early childhood education.

Good Friday Fish Fry – Annual Fundraiser
The Legacy for Children Foundation proudly hosts its Annual Good Friday Fish Fry in support of the children and programs of Trinity AME Early Learning Center. This community-centered event brings families, church members, and neighbors together for a day of fellowship, great food, and giving back.
Each year on Good Friday, guests are invited to enjoy freshly prepared fish plates while supporting a meaningful cause. Proceeds from the event help provide scholarships for families, classroom resources, teacher development opportunities, and enrichment programs that benefit the young learners served by the center. Together, we gather, give, and build a lasting legacy for children.
Doors of Celebration – Annual Promotion Fundraiser
​The Legacy for Children Foundation hosts the Annual Doors of Celebration to honor the Pre-K students of Trinity AME Early Learning Center as they prepare to take the next step into kindergarten. This special tradition gives families the opportunity to celebrate their child’s accomplishments by purchasing and decorating a classroom door in recognition of their promotion.
Parents and families are invited to creatively decorate the door with photos, encouraging messages, and designs that celebrate their child’s growth and achievements throughout the year. The decorated doors transform the center’s hallways into a joyful display of pride, encouragement, and community support for our young learners.
After-Hours Childcare – Special Event Night
The Legacy for Children Foundation offers After-Hours Childcare for Special Events, providing families of Trinity AME Early Learning Center with safe, reliable care during select evenings and weekends throughout the year. These events give parents an opportunity to enjoy time for themselves while knowing their children are in a familiar and nurturing environment.
Special events may include Valentine’s Date Night, Shopping Saturdays, and other seasonal evenings designed to support busy families. During these events, children enjoy engaging activities, games, crafts, and supervised play led by trusted staff members.
